Each year, hundreds of children leave poor villages to find work in cities. The ILO estimates that 2.60 million children in Nepal are involved in varied economic activities. Among them, many are working in dangerous circumstances, at times with even their young lives at risk. Often these children are deprived of their most basic rights, including the right to education. Most of children are abandoned at an early age, from all regions. As a result, most of these needy children are deprived of education and find work as child laborers in restaurants, factories, hotels, slaves, and as trash collector. These disadvantaged children need attention, love, care, and the opportunity to further their education.
